Diving spots :
Diving is the main attraction of the island.
The beauty and abundance of its fauna account for the popularity of scuba diving especially in the Tuheiava pass where the manta rays' dance alternates with a parade of barracuda and tuna, not to mention the grey and the white tipped sharks.

The dive sites are concentrated around the pass of Tuheiva at 30 mn by boat from the hotel. 4 main dive sites

Dive center description :
Tikehau Blue Nui was constructed within the Tikehau Pearl Beach Resort.
It is located near the reception, right on the marina of the hotel.
Sign Up at the activities desk or at the dive center.

Closets to hang wetsuits.
Shower on the deck.
Dive tanks are set up and loaded on the boat by dive staff.
Lifting and carrying is limited.

Diving in Tikehau

Tikehau residents depend primarily on fishing, as it is the leading supplier for the market of Tahiti. Jacques-Yves Cousteau declared Tikehau the richest atoll on the face of the earth.
This oval shaped atoll is called "the Robinson Crusoe Island" and has a large pass and series of islets.
One of the most beautiful atolls in Polynesia also is home to many bird colonies that have sought refuge in the small "motu", "Bird's Island".

Fixed unit Marine VHF radio 2 outboard motor 140 hp. 14 Genesis Cayman BCDs 3 additional kgs weight. 13.5 m3/hr with 2 holding tanks of 50 litres each filled to 300 bars (3000 psi).
Oxygen therapy equipment. 17 divers plus driver. 18 3mm shorty wet suits Valves are not compatible with DIN connectors. Automatic stop and purge system.
First aid kit. 25 tank holders. Assorted size of fines, masks and weight belts. Adaptaters available. The Air quality is controlled regularly.
